Round 1. Looking on the bright side

  • What made your day today? (made you happy)
  • Do you have a friend who you go back a long way with? (know each other very long time) Did you go through thick and thin together? (bad and good situations) What were the most memorable moments with him / her?
  • Can you say that you are a man / woman of many parts? (can do well many things) What are you good at?
  • What is your perfect square meal? (a substantial meal) What dishes hit the spot with you? (very tasty)
  • Have you ever visited any places / events that hit the right note? (very good)
  • How can you make the best out of a bad situation?
  • Have you ever had a blessing in disguising? (a good thing that seemed bad at first)
  • What is a piece of cake for you? (very easy to do) Why?
  • Look on the bright side. Нет худа без добра. You friend failed a job interview, how will you describe a bright side of the failure? What kind of failures that are useful can you think of?


Round 2. Studies & Work

Round 4. Experience

  • What did you learn from challenging things in your life? Did you put it down to experience? (отнести к опыту)
  • Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Знал бы, где упаду, соломки бы подстелил. Is it possible to predict things that will happen? Or do we learn our lessons only afterwards?
  • What experience in you life gave you food for thought? (пища для размышлений)
  • Can we learn lessons (извлекать урок) from lives of famous people (writers, businessmen, politicians, actors, etc.)? What lessons?
  • What are the possible reasons for people's running out of steam? (lose energy) How do you recharge your batteries? (rest)
  • Would you like one day to join men in suits? In what business field? (businessmen)
  • Is the world we see real or a figment of our imagination? (плод воображения)
  • When were you at your wits end trying to find a solution? (ума не приложить, что делать).
  • Do you want to know or already know all the ins and outs (все подробности) of any subject? Which one?
