Round 1. Whatever your age, it's never too late.

1. Do you support the idea of continuing education? Are you a lifelong learner?
2. What are the most important things you've learned so far? Why do you think so?
3. What are advantages of lifelong learning? Does it sharpen your mind, give you a
feeling of accomplishment
(something successfully completed), build on
skills you already have or give you rewarding experience?
4. Which direction of lifelong learning is interesting for you — personal or professional
development? or both?
5. Are there things that you believe cannot be learned in adulthood? Have you learned anything that you thought you couldn't master (to learn how to do something well)?
6. How can we foster (to encourage the development) a culture of lifelong learning? How did you become a lifelong learner?
7. What qualities are necessary for a person to pursue (try to do it) lifelong learning?
8. Can a person be a self-directed learner (making your own decisions) or we need institutions?



Round 2. The school of hard knocks

1. What school did you attend? What was you experience?
2. Were you a straight A-student (only gets gets the best marks)? Or were your grades not up to scratch (unsatisfactory)? Are grades have any sense?
3. Did you play truant (absent oneself or leave early from school) at school? How could schools and teachers cope with problematic and belligerent behavior (wishing to fight or argue) of pupils?
4. Can you remember teachers that influenced you or were your role models? Who was your favourite teacher?
5. Is rote-learning (memorization based on repetition) acceptable for some subjects? Have you ever learnt off anything to get prepared for exams?
6. Did you go through the school of hard knocks (education one gets from life's usually negative experiences)? What was it like?
7. Is the introduction of technology beneficial for schools? What are possible threats?
8. Should a curriculum (subjects studied in a school) be more academic or applied
(has a has a practical use)?


Round 3. The university of life

1. What qualifications have you obtained (get) or are you going to acquire?
2. What were your core subjects (main) in the first academic year? Which did you enjoy most? Which were useless?
3. Did you study intensively any subject to know it inside out (very thoroughly)?
4. What university did you secure a place at (enter)? How did you choose what
university to apply to? Do you wish you had made a different choice?
5. How much do you remember from your secondary and high school classes?
6. Is it important to obtain formal education for further career and success? Is tertiary
(higher) education necessary?
7. What courses have you ever signed up for (enroll on)? Why have you chosen them? Were they worth your while (useful, worth the effort)?
8. What led you to pursue the field of your choice?


Round 4. Learn the ropes*

1. Do you have any inclinations (preferences) towards certain subjects? How did it
influence your life?
2. Do you have a thirst for knowledge (a strong wish)? In what field?
3. How much experience do you have under you belt (learned or succeeded in)?
4. Is there room for improvement (opportunities) for any of your skills?
5. How do your acquire knowledge? What are you favorite resources?
6. Does your concentration wavers (loose strength) during work or studies?
Do you goof off (procrastinate)? What are the ways to deal with that?
7. Does information stick in your mind or you have a memory like a sieve (forget things very easily)?
8. Can you notice marked improvement (noticeable) of your skills? How can
you progress or learn something in leaps and bounds (startlingly rapidly)?
9. Do you think that knowledge is power? In what sense?
